I miss Ty!

So sorry, my boy, it has been ages since I have written anything on here! When I logged in this morning, I saw your banner. There you were all shiny, I could smell your head and feel your soft ears in my mind. Ava was here yesterday ( my Granddaughter, age 5) and she started talking about you. She was just sitting and petting Chandler and said she wanted her own dog. Then she asked why Daryl never came out when she was there. He tends to retreat when company comes. Not sure why, have never had a pup do that before. You may have to send him some tips from the bridge. She loves him, but has to seek him out. She said ” I miss Ty! ” You were so wonderful with her. So patient, so kind. You left me a penny yesterday in my closet. Thank you! I have been so busy, we have a new family member, a new Grandchild. I have been babysitting a lot, but even though I don’t get on here as often due to lack of time, I have not forgotten you. You would have loved him! Thanksgiving is coming and you LOVED being a part of the celebration. Loved being underfoot, laying in the kitchen as I prepared, loved just hanging out. Of course, I never make a turkey without seeing you standing proudly at the front door having ” retrieved” the wild carcass from the woods. Tail waving wildly! Forever etched in my mind. It occurred to me the other day that I don’t even think about putting my shoes up anymore. If I let them at the door, there are always 2 still there. I have not searched the back yard for the other one in a year and a half. I agree with Ava, “I miss Ty!”

  1. This post brought tears to my eyes. We never stop missing them……..no matter how long. Your Ty sounds like one in a million. And your post tells me he was one lucky dog that was loved so very much.

  2. <3 <3 I know how you totally feel. I was feeling kinda blue last night myself. Those moments will always hit us when we least expect it. We miss you Ty. You will have to tell Daryl to steal some of your mom's shoes for you 😉

  3. Awww Lori, we miss him too. Even though we know he is still “here” with us. But when you recout such wonderful memories with us like you did today, he IS present with us!

Through your stories of Ty you bring him to life in such a fun way! And clearly Ty mastered the art of having fun!!

The visual of him bringing you the turkey carcass with such pride and glee! He just knew you had accidentally “misplaced” it and he found it!

The shoe thing….that’s interesting that Ty hasn’t revealed where he put it yet. Im sure he has his reasons though!

And the fact that Ava just brought up Ty’s name…that’s a WOW!!! WOOOOOOW!!! I think Ty was clearly saying “I’m here Mom!” He jjst decided he woukd add an exclamation point to the pennies he leaves you!

Don’t know if you saw Sketch’s lost on “staph infection”. It’s now been confirmed as MRSA (caught early). Karen gave Ty’s link. Hop over there when you can. I think Ty is ready to reach out with hope and help yet another member on this crazy journey!

LOVE YOU LORI! And Ty is still shining brightly on all of us!!

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle too!

  4. I have felt Ty’s presence all day! Saw his banner twice, his article and today I went shopping. I bought a sweater and put it in the back of my cart. My purse was in the front and I had put it there before picking up the sweater. When I got to the dressing room to try it on, there were pennies all over it. 4 pennies. There is only one explanation!!! My Ty Guy!

  5. Lori we are with you on that and totally miss him too. The sudden yearning for our angel dogs always hits us when we least expect it but I’m so glad Ty sent you the pennies, he was definitely listening!

Congrats on the new grandbaby. Sure sounds to me like Ty is still watching out for the entire family from up above. How beautiful to imagine!
